The diving in and around Sydney is very diverse and ranges from novice shore dives to advanced extended range decompression diving off boats.
Sydney’s coastline and history have resulted in a relatively large number of wrecks, which now commonly lie in the 40-60m depth range. Although challenging, with proper training and equipment, exploring these historic wreck sites can be both exhilarating and safe.
Reef dives are commonly accessed by shore and boat, and offer a variety of marine wildlife. Although not many can be considered technical diving, they offer good fun diving and an excellent training ground before moving onto more challenging sites.
